  • Equipment finalisation support — comparing what candidate systems would demand of your specific site in room size, structural load, power, cooling and access, so the purchase decision is made with the building in mind
  • Identification of requirements that your site cannot meet as-is, and what it would cost to meet them
  • Coordination with the equipment supplier's project engineers through to site-readiness sign-off
  • Pre-owned and refurbished systems assessed for what the purchase does not include

Structural Assessment & Strengthening

Old buildings are usually workable — but only once someone has actually checked the numbers.

  • Slab, beam and column capacity checked against magnet, gantry and ceiling-suspended loads
  • Static load plus transit load along the equipment movement path
  • Non-destructive testing where original drawings are unavailable
  • Strengthening design and execution — jacketing, additional beams, slab strengthening, steel supports — so an existing structure can still be used
  • Chiller platform design and fabrication, sited for pipe run, vibration isolation and service access

Radiation Shielding & Lead Doors

A lead door is not a carpentry job. Most leakage we are called in to fix comes from doors built as though it were.

  • Engineered lead doors — correctly lapped lead sheet with no leakage at joints, frames and hinges sized for the real door weight, sealed door-to-frame and floor interfaces

RF Shielding for MRI

Built for new installations and, in particular, for pre-owned and refurbished magnets — where the RF cage never comes with the machine.
